01Who we are
DiscLoops is run by an individual based in India, who decides how your information is used (the “data controller”). Contact: connect@discloops.com.
02What we collect
When you join the waitlist we store:
- your email address,
- the country you would trade from,
- how many discs you could bring,
- the date and time you agreed to hear from us.
We do not store your IP address with your sign-up, and we do not ask for your name.
03Why we use it
To email you when DiscLoops opens in your country, and to decide which countries to open first. The legal basis is your consent, which you give with the tick box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
We never sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
04Stored on your device
The preview remembers your settings and demo progress (shelf, wants, XP, badges, currency, sound) in your browser’s local storage, and whether you have seen the intro in session storage. This stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
We use no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics, so there is no cookie banner. If that changes, this page will say so first.
A shared player card link carries the card itself inside the link. We do not store cards on our servers.
05Where it is kept
Waitlist sign-ups are kept in a database on servers provided by our hosting company, Hostinger, which processes them only on our instructions. When we send launch emails we will use an email provider under the same terms. If your information is stored or processed outside your country, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.
06How long we keep it
Until DiscLoops has launched in your country and we have told you, and for no more than 24 months after that, unless you create an account. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we delete it within 30 days.
07Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or take a copy, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email connect@discloops.com from the address you signed up with and we will reply within 30 days.
You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, your national authority in the EU, or the Data Protection Board of India.
08Age
The waitlist is for people aged 18 or over. If you are younger, please ask a parent or guardian to sign up.
09Changes
When we add accounts, payments or analytics this policy will change, and we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we will tell you before it applies. See also our terms of use.
